1:1 Full-Time Paraprofessional School Based Job Opening | Oswego, IL

ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Paraprofessional to join our team. As a Paraprofessional, you will work closely with teachers and students to provide academic and behavioral support in the classroom. Your role will involve assisting educators in implementing lesson plans, working with individual or small groups of students, and contributing to the overall educational experience.

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with teachers to support the implementation of lesson plans and educational activities.
• Provide individualized assistance to students, addressing academic and behavioral needs as directed by educators.
• Assist in creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Support students during instructional activities and maintain a conducive learning atmosphere.
• Help with the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and other specialized plans as needed.
• Foster positive relationships with students, staff, and parents/guardians.

Requirements:

• Some college coursework in education or related field preferred.
• Experience working in an educational setting or with children preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with students.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively within a team.
• Willingness to undergo necessary background checks and clearances.

Compensation:

• $18-21/hr based on experience
